Pathanay Khan Great Saraiki Folk Singer

Pathaney Khan was the famous folk singer of Pakistan .He was born 1926 near Kot adu District Muzaffargarh . His real name was Ghulam Muhammad . He sang mostly Kafis or Ghazals which were largely based on the Sufi poetry of Khwaja Ghulam Farid. Most of his Seraiki Kafis have been extremely popular. He has a large fan following in Pakistan and all over the world.
He was given the President's Pride of Performance Award by President of Pakistan .
Pathanay Khan died after a protracted illness at his native town on Thursday March 9, 2000. He was a great singer.
